Rome NFT Ecosystem - Web3 Landing Page & UI/UX Design
Beyond the Gallery: Breathing Life into the Rome NFT Ecosystem
The Brief: "Just a Gallery, Please"
When the Rome team approached me, the request was simple: "We need a landing page to display our NFTs." On the surface, it was a straightforward UI task. But in the world of Web3, a gallery without a soul is just a shop.
As a Product Designer who believes things should "make sense and serve a purpose", I knew that for these NFTs to hold value, they needed more than just a grid layout. They needed a story.
The Challenge: Overcoming "NFT Fatigue"
The market is flooded with digital art. The problem isn't a lack of beautiful images; it's a lack of emotional connection. If a user doesn't know who these characters are, why should they care?

The Pivot: From Display to Discovery
I decided to go beyond the brief. Instead of just "showing" the NFTs, I initiated a brainstorming phase to define the lore and personality of each character.
The Archetypes: We didn't just list traits; we gave them history, motives, and distinct voices.
The Narrative UX: I designed the landing page as a journey of discovery. As users scroll, they aren't just looking at JPGs; they are meeting the citizens of Rome.
The Solution: Immersive Storytelling
I translated these character personalities into the visual language of the site:
Contextual Lore: Small snippets of story placed strategically to build curiosity without overwhelming the user with text.
Visual Depth: Using layers and lighting to make the characters feel like they belong in a living, breathing world, not just a static webpage.

The Result: A Community with a Connection
By taking the initiative to tell a story, we transformed a simple landing page into an experience.
Engagement: Users spent significantly more time on the site, exploring the details of each character.
Brand Value: The project gained a "premium" feel because it had a clear identity and depth.
Stakeholder Win: The team realized that the "story" was their strongest utility, helping them stand out in a crowded market.
Reflection: Designing the "Invisible"
This project reinforced my philosophy: Design is not just what you see, but what you feel.
By balancing the technical needs of a landing page with a "dash of creativity", I proved that a designer’s most powerful tool isn't their software. It's their ability to tell a compelling story. I didn't just build a gallery; I built a gateway to a new world. Check out my other project as NFT Marketplace, where users can publish and sell their NFTs easily.
